Priory Meadow puts clothes, books, food shopping and places to eat close to Hastings railway station. Its Devonshire Road entrance is particularly useful for rail passengers: the centre estimates the walk from the station at about a minute.

For a visit that extends into the evening, the distinction to remember is between the shops and the car park. The shops have daytime opening hours, while the centre’s car park operates around the clock.

What can you buy at Priory Meadow?

Primark, H&M and M&S are among the larger clothing names, alongside footwear, jewellery and health and beauty shops. Waterstones and HMV provide options beyond fashion, while Kids Stuff and The Works are useful stops when shopping for children.

The directory also includes a gym, travel agents and opticians. Entries such as M&S, its foodhall and café appear separately, so a directory-entry total should not be read as the number of independent shop units.

How to get to Priory Meadow

Address: Queens Road, Hastings, East Sussex, TN34 1PH

By train, use Hastings station and the Devonshire Road entrance. For buses, the centre identifies the stops on Queens Road, opposite the shopping centre. Its getting-here page links to the local bus operator for routes and timetables.

Parking prices and access

The centre’s parking page lists £1.50 for up to one hour, £2.80 for two hours and £3.30 for three hours. Up to four hours costs £4.50 and up to five hours £5.10; a stay of five to 12 hours costs £7.50. Further charges apply beyond 12 hours.

Cameras record vehicle registrations. Pay before returning to your car, using the registration number; cash and card payments are available. The published height limit is two metres. Blue Badge spaces are on levels one and eight, but standard parking charges still apply.

Toilets, lifts and mobility hire

The centre’s services page places toilets and baby-changing facilities on the first floor, by the lifts between H&M and M&S. An accessible toilet uses a RADAR key. Lifts are also located behind Primark.

Hastings Shopmobility operates from level eight on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10am–4.30pm. Call 01424 447847 to discuss equipment and availability.

Before you go

Check the Queens Square toilet notice

The centre still displayed a refurbishment notice for the Queens Square toilets when this guide was checked. The first-floor facilities are listed as an alternative; check the centre’s latest notice before relying on the Queens Square block.

Questions before you visit

Can I leave my car after the shops close?

The car park is advertised as open 24 hours. Check the tariff for the full length of your stay and use the signed access route after shopping hours.

Are all directory entries separate shops?

No. The centre lists food outlets, services and some in-store facilities alongside shops. The table preserves those entries without counting them as separate retail units.
