Brighton audiences can watch up-and-coming stand-ups compete for the Komedia New Comedy Award in January and February 2027. The Gardner Street venue lists three semi-final shows across two Sundays, with the grand final on Wednesday 10 February.
Komedia runs the award with Comic Boom Comedy Club and arts journalist Victoria Nangle. The competition is open to regularly gigging comedians who have been doing stand-up for less than three years. The winner earns a spot at Comic Boom, and past winners include Michael Campuzano in 2026 and Sydney May in 2025.
