Tim Vine will bring his new stand-up show Sillypun Valley to four Sussex venues in 2027, with five performances announced in Crawley, Worthing, Hastings and Bognor Regis.

The tour reaches The Hawth on Saturday 17 April, Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre on Wednesday 9 June and Hastings’ White Rock Theatre the following evening. Two dates at Bognor Regis’s Alexandra Arts Centre follow on 28 and 29 September.

Comedy magician John Archer will join Vine on the tour, which runs from April to October. General ticket sales are scheduled to open at 10am on Friday 30 October 2026, with a Ticketmaster presale from 10am on Wednesday 28 October.

What is Sillypun Valley about?

The new show centres on Vine’s rapid succession of one-liners, visual jokes and comic songs. Props will be part of the act, with the tour announcement promising that “the joke conveyor belt is set to full speed”.

It follows his previous tours BREEEEP! and Sunset Milk Idiot. The emphasis is on wordplay and absurdity, with musical diversions alongside the stand-up, rather than a story-led show.

For Sussex audiences, the dates offer a choice between a spring Saturday in Crawley, two midweek June performances on the coast and the September run in Bognor Regis. No Brighton date appears in the announced schedule.

Where have you seen Tim Vine and John Archer before?

Vine is familiar to television audiences from Not Going Out, in which he played Tim opposite Lee Mack, and from Taskmaster. His credits also include ITV’s BAFTA-winning The Sketch Show and Radio 4’s The Tim Vine Chat Show, built around conversations with audience members.

He began performing stand-up on the London circuit in the early 1990s and won the Edinburgh Fringe best-joke award in both 2010 and 2014. His work away from touring includes joke books and musical comedy films featuring his Plastic Elvis alter ego.

Archer brings a different stage skill to the bill: comedy mixed with magic. His official biography records his 2019 Britain’s Got Talent semi-final appearance and his success on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. He is also a former winner of the Magic Circle’s Stage Magician of the Year competition.

Tickets, age guidance and running time

Worthing’s listing gives a running time of 110 minutes and age guidance of 12+. White Rock also lists the show for ages 12+; its advertised £37.55 ticket price includes a booking fee, and the venue says all events include a restoration levy.

For Crawley, Ticketmaster specifies over-12s only, with under-16s accompanied by an adult over 18. It also sets a six-ticket limit per person and household. Those are the Crawley conditions, rather than a single rule for every venue on the tour.

The Bognor Regis appearances are part of the programme announced for the Alexandra Arts Centre. Arun District Council says the redeveloped venue is due to open in spring 2027, with Arun Arts as its operator. The promoter’s schedule gives two September performances; a start time and ticket price were not included in the supplied announcement.
