Who is in the Snow White cast?
Shona McGarty as Snow White
McGarty is best known for playing Whitney Dean in BBC soap EastEnders. Television viewers may also recognise her from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, while her recent music work includes the single Unapologetically Me and a performance of Baby Can I Hold You with Ronan Keating on BBC One’s New Year’s Eve special.
She also brings theatre experience to the title role. Her stage credits include Belle in Dartford’s Beauty and the Beast and Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story in Dublin, as detailed in the White Rock’s lead-cast announcement.
Matt Terry as Prince Henry
Terry won The X Factor in 2016, beating Saara Aalto in the final. His winner’s single, When Christmas Comes Around, was written by Ed Sheeran, and his subsequent releases include Sucker for You and Súbeme la Radio.
Since his television breakthrough, he has built a musical theatre career, playing Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages and Alex the lion in Madagascar, alongside a role in The Grinch. Those singing and stage credits are particularly relevant to his role as Snow White’s prince.
Returning Hastings favourites and the supporting cast
Ben Watson returns as comic sidekick Muddles, alongside Tim McArthur as Herman the Henchman. Both are familiar faces from previous White Rock pantomimes. McArthur’s wider work includes the Baker in Into the Woods, his cabaret character Sister Mary McArthur and presenting The Curtain Up Show, as outlined on his official website.
The venue’s supporting-cast announcement also confirms musical theatre drag performer Tuppence A’Bag as Queen Morgana, Ayo Sodeinde as Fairy Fortune and Chris Casserly as Nurse Nelly.
