A new padel club has opened in Burgess Hill, bringing four indoor courts, coaching and a licensed café-bar to Consort Way.
Foundry Padel Club welcomes players on a pay-and-play basis, with no membership required. Its indoor courts give residents another option for playing through the autumn and winter, alongside organised lessons and social sessions.
The club advertised an opening date of 11 October, followed by a launch evening on 22 October, with opportunities to try padel, explore its reformer Pilates facilities and use the golf simulator.
What is at Foundry Padel Club?
The four indoor panoramic courts are the centrepiece of a venue that combines racket sport with fitness facilities and space to meet before or after a game.
Foundry also lists a reformer Pilates studio, treatment room and golf simulator. A ground-floor café and licensed bar serve players and visitors, while a first-floor viewing area overlooks the courts.
Changing facilities, a shop and equipment hire are available. The club’s venue information also lists wheelchair-accessible courts, an accessible ground-floor toilet and shower, blue badge parking bays and bicycle storage.
Can beginners play?
Foundry’s programme includes introductory padel sessions, beginner lessons, coached match play and social mix-ins, giving newcomers a route into the sport beyond hiring a court independently.
An introductory lesson provides coaching, while a social session offers a way to meet other players.
Lewis, of Padel Holidays, said:
“Padel gives people an enjoyable way to spend time together while learning a new sport. Playing doubles makes it social, and beginners can work towards a satisfying rally without needing to master every shot. As more local courts open, more people have the opportunity to give it a try—and a regular game with friends gives them a reason to keep coming back.”
The club’s Playtomic listing brings together court bookings and organised activities. Players can choose a session suited to their experience without taking out a paid membership.
Opening hours and bookings
Foundry is on Consort Way, Burgess Hill, RH15 9TJ. Its published opening hours are 7am to 11pm, seven days a week. Court hire and coaching activities are listed through Playtomic, with individual sessions showing their duration, playing level and price.
The club can also be contacted at [email protected].
